Janie and Ken’s editorial work are in constant demand as well as for trade and consumer publications worldwide. Highly trained educators and platform artists, members of Intercoiffure America, TSA and NCA.

The LaPrairie’s continue on their mission to raise the standards of the industry and focus on the future professionals as the leaders of tomorrow.

"Featuring the best in hair, nail and beauty care," the North American Hairstyling Awards, produced by the Beauty and Barber Supply Institute, continues to elevate the image of cosmetologists and the professional salon industry to greater and greater heights.

From its humble beginning in 1989, when Modern Salon magazine and Redken Laboratories partnered to creat it, NAHA's categories of competition have doubled and the number of entries climbs each year. In 2008, NAHA will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
